Welcome to my first attempt at a website! I have another beautiful site designed by a former (brilliant & talented) student of mine, Sarah Dismukes,

(http://www.nancydunaway.com), but in order to update or change anything, I have to contact her and take her away from her classes at Troy University in Alabama, where she is an assistant professor of Art & Design. So bear with me as I try to do this one myself and make it all I hope it can be!

Let me introduce myself. I retired from Henderson State University (as of December 15, 2007) where I spent 14 wonderful years as Professor and Chair of the really strong and marvelous Department of Art. I taught Drawing, Illustration, Book Arts, and Art Education Methods to a great group of students of whom I am inordinately proud! I worked with  a great faculty and treasured my time there, but when they offered an early retirement package, I said, “Why not!” and now I am just living the life, working in my studio in Hot Springs and spending time with my husband, Tom Drewes and our four big black dogs. I hope to blog some and also share my art and interests on this site !

We were at  the Museum of Modern Art in Houston,TX, with our purple Wolky’s ! -She had the purple Wolky’s first and when I saw them, I had to have some!
